What is Hover Buzz?
Hover Buzz is a VOIP calling app that connects directly to the school’s phone system. We’ve found it to be the best option for our some staff members, who are frequently away from their desk phone. It’s also faster and more reliable than using 2-way radios.
Why use it?
With Hover Buzz, the main office can easily reach you, and you can call the office just as if you were using any phone inside the building. If you ever need to dial 911, the system will also provide emergency services with the school’s address automatically. In addition, when calling parents, Hover Buzz obfuscates your personal phone number—calls will show the school’s number on caller ID.
How to get started
You will need to request access to Hover Buzz. Please submit a ticket to make your request.
How to set the app
On your Android or iPhone, open the appropriate app store.
Search for Hover Buzz (purple and gold logo).
Install the app and log in using the information you received after requesting access from the Tech Dept.
Once logged in, you can make calls just like you would through your regular phone app. You can also silence calls using the “Do Not Disturb” option in the upper-left corner.
